Woody Allen accused of sex abuse by adopted daughter

The adopted daughter of Woody Allen has renewed claims the filmmaker "sexually abused" her as a child in 1992.

In an open letter, Dylan Farrow accuses Allen of molesting her in a "dim, closet-like attic" at the age of seven.

Ms Farrow, now 28, also criticises Hollywood's continued celebration of "a predator [who] brought chaos into our home".

Allen was investigated over the abuse allegations at the time of the incident, but was not charged.

A panel of psychologists, appointed by US prosecutors and the police, concluded that Dylan had not been molested.

The case caused controversy when a prosecutor later said there had been "probably cause" to charge Allen, but he had chosen not to, in order to protect the child.

The movie director has always maintained his innocence. He has previously accused Dylan's mother, Mia Farrow, of fabricating the claims after their highly publicised break-up in 1992.

Indonesia volcano in 1 Feb 2014 Sinabung in deadly eruption

A volcano has erupted on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, engulfing villages in ash and killing at least 14 people.

Mount Sinabung spewed hot gas, ash and rocks 2km (1.5 miles) into the air in a series of eruptions during the morning.

Emergency official Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said three schoolchildren and a teacher were among the dead.

Thousands were evacuated in September when Sinabung erupted after being dormant for three years. Many were allowed back to their homes on Friday.

Officials fear there may have been more casualties, but they cannot get closer because of the heat from the eruption.

Pictures taken at the scene showed rescue workers recovering bodies that were buried in ash.

Sunanda tharoor is dead, natural death, suicide or murder

New Delhi: Congress MP and Union Minister Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor has been reportedly found dead in room number 345 of Leela hotel at around 8:50 pm, Chanakyapuri here under mysterious circumstances on Friday night.

According to the initial reports, police have recovered the dead body from the hotel, yet the cause of Sunanda's death is not yet ascertained.

Forensic experts of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) along with police rushed at the spot to examine the scene of occurrence.
However, Sunanda's death is being speculated as a suicide case. 

In an another aspect, police will also investigate into the medical records of the Sunanda, who was reportedly on medication for Lupus, stomach TB. Reports also suggest that she was undergoing medication for two diseases. First, auto immune disease Lupus, second stomach tuberculosis. 

“We have ordered a magisterial inquiry to know the cause of death. No external injury found on her body,” Delhi Police Commissioner said.
Speaking to the media Abhinav Kumar, the private secretary of Shashi Tharoor, revealed that police investigation is on and further details will be out only after post-mortem is done, which is expected to happen tomorrow. 

"The cause of death and the time of death, we cannot say now," he said.
