Sister organization of WorldLink, WorldLink Technologies (Nepal) has acquired by US Comapany, Software Paradigms International Group LLC (SPI) which is CMM level 5.With its corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and Offshore Development Centers (ODC) in India, SPI has global locations across Europe, Asia, North America, Australia and now in Nepal.
“The new organisation named SPI Nepal will merge technology-driven solutions of both the companies to drive innovation that will benefit its customers worldwide,” CEO WorldLink Technologies Yajurendra Shrestha, said, adding that SPI Nepal will now be SPI’s third worldwide delivery centre and will serve its existing Nepal-based customers in government, public sector units, and banks and financial institutions.
SPI has 1,500 knowledge workers at two existing ODCs in Mysore and Mangalore in India to cater to its worldwide customers.
“This union is a win-win for both parties,” he said, adding that the acquisition will also provide a worldwide market for Endeavor Human Resources and e-governance expertise, besides providing career opportunities for over 250 domestic IT professionals in next two years.
“With the deal, SPI is strengthening its foothold in Asian market and accelerating its global growth,” chief executive of SPI Sid Mookerji said.
“The alliance will enable us to bring together a convergence of operations and technology,” he said, adding that the company will continue to stay committed to its global customers worldwide.
“Kathmandu has an immense talent pool and SPI believes that this city can become the next sourcing location for world class knowledge workers,” he added.
Established in 1994 as an external service provider of global IT solutions focusing on the retail vertical, SPI is a technology services and financial solutions organisation specialising in retail and dedicated to substantially maximising profits for global clients.
Similarly, WorldLink Technologies, established in 2001, is a software solutions provider with extensive experience in consulting, development and implementation of enterprise applications across government, banking and financial services and other industries.
The company also builds and provides Endeavor Human Resources, a tightly integrated but modular HR solution for businesses and governments, it said in a press release.
